Artist
Evan Lo, from Newton, Massachusetts. Piano since childhood, guitar since middle school. Mostly wordless, bittersweet electronic-folk miniatures, gentle and looping, melancholy but warm. They found their audience in 2023 as the default soundtrack to "hopecore" videos. "Killswitch Lullaby" is a July 2023 single from exactly that moment. The instrumental album Killswitch Melodies followed later that year, and "Dramamine" came out in 2024. A prolific composer whose career was basically built by an internet subculture reaching for something optimistic.
