Anders Trentemøller. Danish producer and one-man studio orchestra, born in Vordingborg in 1972 and based in Copenhagen. He made his name with 2006's The Last Resort, a landmark of moody melodic electronica, then steadily pivoted toward live instrumentation, shoegaze and darkwave across Into the Great Wide Yonder, Lost, Fixion, Obverse and Dreamweaver. He's a genuinely elite remixer. His rework of Franz Ferdinand's 'No You Girls' earned a Grammy nomination, and he wrote the main theme for AMC's Halt and Catch Fire, which is why a lot of people know his music without knowing his name. Modeselektor, who take the remix here, are Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, a Berlin duo who met in 1992 in the free-party rave scene just after the Wall came down. They founded Monkeytown Records in 2009 and form two-thirds of Moderat alongside Apparat.
