Vök. Icelandic dream-pop / indietronica band out of Reykjavík, formed in January 2013 by singer Margrét Rán Magnúsdóttir and saxophonist Andri Enoksson. They won Iceland's national band competition Músíktilraunir that March, within two months of existing. Cool-blue electronic dream pop: breathy vocals, saxophone used as atmosphere rather than solo, and a trip-hop undertow. Key records: the Circles EP (2015, home of both "Waterfall" and "If I Was"), Figure (2017), In the Dark (2019) and the self-titled Vök (2022, Nettwerk). Margrét Rán has since become a member of GusGus.
